Snoozing an alert is best used when you have taken an action on the alert but the issue is not yet resolved: for example, you have attempted to call the patient 3 times but are still not able to reach him/her, so you decide to try the next day. In this article, we will go through how to perform the snooze action.
First, you want to locate the alert of interest on the dashboard. You should see the clock icon on the right along with the other actions. Click on the clock icon to bring up the "Address Events" screen:
You should see that the "Address Type" is "Snooze" and that the alert of interest is selected on the right-hand side. If the patient has multiple open alerts, you can snooze multiple alerts at the same time by checking all that apply on the right.
On the left-hand side, you will be able to set the snooze duration, the reason for snoozing, and additional notes. Select/enter the appropriate information as you desire.
Once you complete the form, simply click the "Confirm Snooze" button at the bottom of the screen. You should see a confirmation dialog. Once back to the original alert list, you should see the alert is now marked as snoozed as well.
